It’s the beginning of a new year and that means new content for Gaming While Bearded! While I’ve been hoping to do so much more with this idea over the last few months, it’s had to go on the back burner to other life events. I’m excited to announce that my wife and I are expecting our first child in June 2020. I know that’s going to put a damper on some of my ideas for this project, but I couldn’t be more excited! Tabletop gaming is something that I want to share with those close to me and who better to share those experiences with than my own child?
We are currently in the process of renovating our home so that we can be ready for the baby whenever he or she decides to arrive. This has also made it extremely inconvenient to house a large board game collection. If anyone has any ideas on how to store board games safely in a non-climate controlled environment please send them my way! I’ve started culling our collection severely, but it hasn’t been enough as of yet. My plan is to continue to post video reviews to YouTube and follow up with a full write up of my thoughts. I’m hoping that this process is going to help me truly create a collection that I can be proud of. With that being said (or I guess written), let us recognize the boxes of cardboard that are going to be shipped off to our local thrift store!
I’m hoping to have my next blog post done at some point later this week. I’ll be reviewing Salem by Façade Games. Last October, my wife and I decided to go to Salem, Massachusetts for our anniversary and really got into the history of the Salem Witch Trials. My perspective of the game and theme was impacted greatly after visiting the various sites. Come back soon to find out why and how!
